What is VAT and how is it charged?

What is VAT?

The Value Added Tax, or VAT, in the European Union is a general, broadly based consumption tax assessed on the value added to goods and services. For most EU-countries VAT is 21%.

For shipment outside the EU the Value Added TAX is not charged.
As a consumer you importing good you might be obligated to report and pay VAT. For more information consult your homecountry tax regulations.
